With regular exercise you can improve your immunity levels. It can help you put strong resistance to colds, and flu. You can expect to bounce back much faster from a bacterial or viral infection. Exercise is known to raise the temperature of the body. A raised temperature kills bacteria and other micro-organisms in the body.

When you exercise, your body’s metabolism level picks up. It disposes of waste stuff faster. Exercising increases the breathing rate. When breathing rate increases, respiration increases. Your lungs will expel out any micro-organic matter. When you sweat, waste products from your body are removed. You only need to replace lost water in your body by drinking clean water.

Exercise increases the heart rate, and increases the efficiency of the heart’s pumping mechanism. The faster and steadier your heart beats, the more white blood cells are created in your body. White blood cells are the ones that destroy foreign particles in the blood.

Your immune system responds quickly to any foreign particle infection, because your heart pumps blood efficiently. And the white blood cells respond much faster.

Exercise reduces your stress levels. Increased stress levels can reduce the efficiency of the immune system. When your stress levels are low, your immunity is high. Regular exercise will keep your stress levels in check. The exertion on your body that you do when you exercise will get you mentally and physically ready for daily stressful activities.

Moderate exercise will help you gain better fitness levels. Over-exercising might not give you the same results. Over-exercising will cause fatigue and wear and tear of muscles and bone. Always exercise within moderate limits.
